On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong put his left foot on the rocky Moon and said the following words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” It was the first human footprint on the Moon. Armstrong notified Houston with the historic words, “Houston, this is Tranquility Base. The Eagle has landed.” Before the Astronauts rocketed back to earth they left a plaque that read, ” Here Men From the Planet Earth First Set Foot Upon the Moon July 1969, A.D.
